Show 42

Our 42nd show was held at the Penzance Primary School in Durban. It was a joint show with the OSRBG and SACATS clubs. Once again we shared the venue with our friends from SOPA, a breeders group affiliated to CFSA. This is the second annual event of this nature and is becoming a fixed feature on the SA Cat Calendar. The learning curve is less steep and we had enthusiastic exhibitors and stewards from Kwazulu-Natal and Gauteng.

It was a bright day and the new venue had lovely natural light, enough space, ample parking and easy access. We had a large entry, with more than 80 cats entered.

We were privileged to have SACC President and AB judge, Ngaia Crawley juding all the cats. The Overall Best was seclected by all the allbreeds judges present.

Hills sponsored the prizes at short notice, after Royal Canin withdrew their sponsorship shorthly before the show. The lovely rosettes by Rushfords were as popular as always.

The show ended well in time and a number of dedicated exhibitors left for Gauteng directly after the show, to arrive home in the early hours of the morning.

Thank you to all the exhibitors, stewards, committee members and their families and spouses who worked together to make it a success once again.
