Show 19Our 19th show was held on 6 April 2013 at the Stellenberg Dutch Reformed Church Hall. It is a spacious and popular venue. The show was followed by a Chats du Cap, WCF show, later in the day, in the same hall. It was one of our biggest shows to date, with a happy atmosphere and lots of new faces.
We were particularly honoured to have CFA AB judge Dennis Ganoe officiating - all the way from the USA. We cannot thank Chats du Cap enough for sharing Dennis with us. His experience and enthusiasm was appreciated by exhibitor, steward and student judge alike. Dennis grasped the show system without a problem and got right on with the job. Thank you to Grant Leih and the SACC Breeders Group BRS, who initiated Dennis' invitation to South Africa and who was prepared to "share" him with us and at the same time allowed him to enjoy the Cape's hospitality, culture and nature. We also had two SACC judges officiating. Amanda Visser is always popular with the longhair exhibitors and Pauline Nel judged for us for the first time. She did a sterling job in the Semi-Longhair Category. Thea Lamprecht was our WCF judge and her evaluation of the SOSH category was as professional as always. Russel Spargo and his team did a great job in the catering department, as always. His fare was enjoyed by judges, officials, exhibitors and visitors alike. Our Best Overall winner of the day was a lovely Sphynx kitten, owned by Dr Sonya Lindeque and her husband Andre Schwartz and bred by the Aldum family. It was a popular choice which met with the approval of all present. Thanks to Hills and Cats Best, who sponsored the prizes.
