Show 24Our 24th show was again held at the Dalmein Shellhole in Escombe, Durban on 21 September 2013. Our second show this year on a rainy and very wintery day. One could easily imagine that this was Cape Town, rather than KZN. This meant that most visitors stayed home to watch the rugby on TV, rather than visit a cat show. The atmosphere in the hall was happy and positive and it was a generally enjoyable day. The show was followed by a CASA WCF show - by now a winning recipe.
Along with our regular KZN judges, we had two judges officiating for the first time at a KZN show - Sheila Hansen, local SACC SOSH & LH judge and Anthony Aldum, Cape Town based WCF SH & SOSH judge. We hope to see them at our shows again in future. Hills sponsored the prizes. The prizes were very generous and apart from the winners' prizes, every exhibitor and judge went home with a gift from Hills. Thank you, so much! Sadly, there was one one Longhair cat entered and none present on the day. The other categories were well represented and it is very good to see such a large household pet section. Thank you to all the helpers who worked behind the scenes to make this show a success.
