Show 30We joined our friends of the Eastern Cape Cat Club and once again did a show at the Kirkwood Wildsfees. This was long overdue, as there was no Independent show at the Wilsfees in 2013. It was a great success and thoroughly enjoyed by all present. Unfortunately all the shows over this weekend were dramatically down in numbers of cats entered. This did not dampen the enthusiasm of those who did or the large number of visitors to the show. The Wildsfees was a true festival, as always and a great event and opportunity to show off our beautiful felines.
Thanks to Cats Best, for being the principal sponsor of prizes at the show and also to Royal Canin who allowed us to retain their logos and branding after the ECC show and also provided the prizes for the Ring Winners. Three visiting Allbreed judges from Gauteng, Dina Freitas, Deon Scheepers and Daniel Germishuys officiated together with the only local Allbreed judge, Rita Wiseman. The show took place on Sunday 29 June, after the completion of the ECCC show and was followed by an OSRBG show and SACATS ring show. The winner was a lovely Sphynx owned by Ian Taylor & Johan Groenewald form PE and bred by the Aldum family from Cape Town. Thank you to all the exhibitors, judges, stewards and all the other volunteers who helped to make this event as successful as always. . |
