Show 31We joined our friends of the newly renamed Durban Cat Club for the first Sunday show in Durban, Kwazulu-Natal. It was the smallest show in Durban until now, but did not lack in enthusiasm and quality of exhibits. There were many visitors and due to the calm athmosphere and slow pace, lots of discussion time between exhibitors and visitors was available. The Durban Cat Club committee took care of the catering and the Four Judges Best Prizes and one Overall winner prize were sponsored by Hills.
The show was held at the Durban Jewish club, a classy old building and a lovely, large hall that can acommodate quite a large number of cats. The weather was great and the show ended early enough for all to make their home well in time for a quiet Sunday afternoon. Four judges officiated at the show, all from KZN. Each judge could select only one Judges Best, from which the Overall Winner was selected. The winner was a lovely Maine Coon import, owned by Ninette du Plessis from Durban. Thank you to all the exhibitors, judges, stewards and all the other volunteers who helped to make this event as successful as always. |
