Show 29During the weekend of 21 and 22 June 2014, we joined the newly formed Persian and Exotic Breeders group, affiliated to the Cat Federation of Southern Africa and the Capital Cat Club, affiliated to the World Cat Federation, to celebrate yet another successful cat event. This was in Johannesburg, Gauteng at the Jabula Recreation Centre, Sandringham.
Daniel Germishuys was the show manager for all three shows and made a huge success. Brenda Neukircher was the driving force behind the event and did most of the ground work, although she could not be present due to an overseas commitment. Hills sponsored the event and all the prizes and was most generous in their support. The catering was done by the PDSA, who had a major presence in the hall and generated some much needed funds for this recommendable charity. Judges from Gauteng and Cape Town officiated and did a sterling job. Our show took place on Sunday 22 June, before the CCC show. The winner was a lovely and well known Persian Tortoiseshell owned by Rene van Wyk from Gauteng and bred by Pat Williams and Amanda Visser from Cape Town. Theresa Fouche took the lovely photographs of the winners. Thank you to all the exhibitors, judges, stewards and all the other volunteers who helped to make this event as successful as always. |
